Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Vireo QA (Vireo QA) collects when you use this site, why, and your choices. It is written to be plain-language and aligned with Canada’s PIPEDA, with GDPR-aware language for visitors in the EU. It is a working template and is marked for legal review before reliance.

Who we are

Vireo QA is a sole proprietorship operated as Vireo QA, based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Contact: hello@vireoqa.com.

What we collect

• Analytics (Plausible). We use Plausible, a cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics tool. It does not use cookies and does not collect personal data or cross-site identifiers. We see aggregate page views and referrers, not individuals. No consent banner is required because no personal data or cookies are involved.
• Contact form. If you send a message, we collect the name, email, company, and message you submit, processed through our form provider (Formspree) and delivered to our inbox. We use it only to reply to you.
• Email list. If you opt in (lead magnet or newsletter), we store your email address with our email provider (Buttondown/ConvertKit) to send occasional practical emails. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
• AI Release Readiness Grader. When you use the grader, your answers are processed in your browser to compute a score. If you choose to unlock the full report, we collect your email address and your scores only. We do not collect your code, prompts, datasets, or any sensitive or proprietary information, the grader never asks for them. Your email is used to send your report and, with your opt-in, the newsletter.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your personal information.
• We do not run advertising trackers or set marketing cookies.
• We do not ask for or store your source code, prompts, API keys, or customer data through this website or the grader.

Legal basis and retention

We process contact and email data on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries. We keep contact messages and list subscriptions until you ask us to delete them or you unsubscribe. Grader emails and scores are retained while you remain a subscriber; ask us to delete them at any time.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of processors: Plausible (analytics), our form provider (Formspree), our email provider (Buttondown/ConvertKit), our booking tool (Cal.com), and our host (Cloudflare Pages). Each processes data only to provide its service. Some may process data outside Canada; where that happens, comparable protection is expected of them.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and withdraw consent at any time, by emailing hello@vireoqa.com. Under PIPEDA you may also escalate concerns to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. EU visitors have equivalent rights under the GDPR.

We’ll update this page if our practices change and revise the “last updated” date above.
